AN EASTER LITANY

Christ is risen!

Christ is risen indeed.

We are free.

We are hopeful.  We are an Easter people, vital and victorious.

As builders of God's reign, we are enabled to create: new Easters for the bereaved, new freedoms for the addicted, new orders for the developing world.

We are committed to building New Easters.  It is our hands that build God=s reign.  It is our love and concern that reach the needy, It is our gifts and talents that give new life.

Let us be a revolution.  Together we follow this servant king.

Following Jesus, we can see his vision.  The sun is risen. The new world is beginning.

May the Risen Christ resurrect our faith.  May the promised one of Easter morning, create the possibility for change, and renew the vision of God's reign.

The Holy One is alive!  Jesus the Christ is alive!

Let us be Christ's disciples, stretching out so that we might become Christ's hands.  May our hands mend and heal the wounded; seek out and soothe the lonely; strengthen and support the angry.

Our hands are brought to life, through the wonder of Christ=s resurrection.  Our discipleship brings Easter hope! Alleluia!

Offertory:  What can I do?  What can I bring?

What can I say? What can I sing?

I’ll sing with joy.  I’ll share a prayer.\

I’ll bring my love.  I’ll do my share.

Paul Rumbolt & Michele McCarthy:  MV 191

PRAYER OF DEDICATION:  Ever gracious God, we have an incredible message to share as we seek to joyfully live the truth of resurrection faith.  May the gifts we share empower others to encounter the Risen Christ, and may the Risen Christ be revealed in each of us.  Receive the gifts of our heart, mind and body.  Amen.
