consider stories from one another and from the Bible. If you were part of our recent
congregational Affirming conversation, today’s session will be a more experiential way
of connecting to understand why Affirming ministries matter. We’ll have some snacks
beyond our usual cookies, and expect to wrap up by around 1:00 pm.
Affirming congregations are publicly, explicitly and intentionally open to people of all
gender identities and sexual orientations. Affirming congregations explore ways to help
anyone, regardless of identity and background (racial, cultural, economic, mental and
physical) feel safe in being part of worship, community and service to others. We are all
invited guests of God.
