SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24th
9:30 - 4 p.m.

Trinity United Congregational Vision Day, November 24th, 2018

“What does the future hold for Trinity United Church?”

We invite you to help answer this question and to shape the direction of that future. Plan to attend our Vision Day on Saturday, November 24th at the church from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

The day will include a spiritual practice segment and a plenary session helping us shift from the way we look at ourselves being church to prayerfully discerning God’s possibilities. In smaller groups we will discuss the identity of Trinity United; we will look outward to the wider community; and we will discuss what God might be calling Trinity United to do and be in the future.

This is an important day for us as a church community. Plan to participate and offer your perspective on our church’s vision.

A consultant will facilitate and lunch will be provided. Sign up during coffee or reply to Danielle York at daniellekyork@gmail.com or 705-441-5245 by November 22nd.

We need to know if you plan to attend in order to prepare lunch.

Christmas Sunday Cantata Service:  December 23, 10:30 am

As has become a Trinity tradition, the senior choir, with the help of other singers from within and beyond our congregation will be presenting this year’s cantata, “Lead Me Back To Bethlehem” by the American composer, Pepper Choplin. The cantata features narrative sections between the choral numbers.  The congregation will recognize many well-known Christmas carols embedded in the music.

We will once again feature a brass ensemble that will accompany the choir and congregation in singing the well-loved carols that proclaim and celebrate the coming of the Holy Infant.

Our music director, Paul welcomes anyone who wishes to be part of the Cantata choir to join us at our Thursday rehearsals beginning Thursday, Nov. 15 at 8:15 pm.  You will be made to feel welcome and you will definitely enjoy the experience of making music with other people!

And for those who will be coming to this service, you will find the experience both a memorable and uplifting way to recognize the awe, majesty and wonder of the Christmas season.

We hope to see you here!
