The Mitten Tree at Collingwood's Legion is adorned with donated gloves and mittens reserved for Trinity United Church's outreach and social action committee.

Donated new mittens will be distributed at the church's community dinners, through the outdoor pantry, and by special requests.

Community dinners take place at Trinity United Church on the third Wednesday of the month and include a free hot dinner and dessert. Guests of the dinner may also take one or two bags of pantry food including fresh fruit, vegetables abd bread. There's a closet full of hats, mitts, scarves, winter boots and coats available for those who need them.

The outdoor pantry is stocked with food plus warm socks, mitts and hats.
