Currency For Food Program
The Outreach and Social Action Committee is pleased to announce that we are participating in a new fundraising effort to benefit our ongoing food programs. You may have seen the articles September 1st and 2nd in Collingwood Today.
Currency for Food returns foreign currency to the country of origin and after being sorted we receive the funds less a small processing fee. At this time BVO in Thornbury and us are sharing funds collected in the community boxes. Any funds collected at Trinity will not be split with other food programs so please donate here and encourage others to do the same.
The Collector box is located on Mike/Dave’s desk in the hallway or you can leave an envelope with cash and coins in one of the mailboxes with a notation that it is for Currency for Food.
If you have foreign currency of any denomination in a drawer at home (including foreign coins or Canadian pennies), please drop them off and we will put it to good use feeding families locally.
From Euros to Yens, we can use them all!
